Sheep are so dear to me and I honor these creatures with all my love through my work.

Working with felt brings me great pleasure, discovering what can be made of it is a magical journey to me. There is so much possible, you can make functional objects but also totally abstract things.

Wet felting
Working with wet sheep wool feels nice on my hands, all the tiny hairs of the sheep's wool can be felt. The contact with my hands and the wool always gives me such a relaxed feeling. The process of forming something is quite a journey, which also feels nurturing, because there is a sequence to build up when wet felting. To work towards something and gradually nurture it so that it can be expressed and brought into the world I can compare with a birth process. It is often a surprise how it will look, how the colors mix and what imperfections appear. I like to work quite roughly because I like it when some wild pieces appear in the work.

Needle felting
This always puts me in a trance, by the sound of the needle pricking together with the active stimulation it gives me. With dry felting you can draw in the felt work and also easily take it out again if it is not what you want. It's so nice to be able to go in many directions with it.
